Superconductivity in the CuO Hubbard model with long-range Coulomb repulsion

چکیده
A multiband CuO Hubbard model is studied which incorporates long-range (LR) repulsive Coulomb interactions. In the atomic limit, it is shown that a charge-transfer from copper to oxygen ions occurs as the strength of the LR interaction is increased. The regime of phase separation becomes unstable, and is replaced by a uniform state with doubly occupied oxygens. As the holes become mobile a superfluid condensate is formed, as suggested by a numerical

Spin gap and superconductivity in the one-dimensional t-J model with Coulomb repulsion.
(Received) The one-dimensional t-J model with density-density repulsive interactions is investigated using exact diagonalization and quantum Monte Carlo methods. A short-range repulsion pushes phase separation to larger values of J/t, and leads to a widened precursor region in which a spin gap and strengthened superconducting correlations appear. The correlation exponent is calculated. On the c...

The self-energy-functional approach is a powerful many-body tool to investigate different broken symmetry phases of strongly correlated electron systems. We use the variational cluster perturbation theory (also called the variational cluster approximation) to investigate the interplay between the antiferromagnetism and d-wave superconductivity of κ-(ET)2 X conductors. These compounds are desc...

Experimental studies of superconductivity properties of fullerides are briefly reviewed. Theoretical calculations of the electron-phonon coupling, in particular for the intramolecular phonons, are discussed extensively. The calculations are compared with coupling constants deduced from a number of different experimental techniques. It is discussed why the A3C60 are not Mott-Hubbard insulators, ...

Fröhlich-Coulomb model of high-temperature superconductivity and charge segregation in the cuprates. Abstract. We introduce a generic Fröhlich-Coulomb model of the oxides, which also includes infinite on-site (Hubbard) repulsion, and describe a simple analytical method of solving the multi-polaron problem in complex lattice structures. Two particular lattices, a zigzag ladder and a perovskite l...
متن کاملHigh-temperature superconductivity and charge segregation in a model with strong long-range electron–phonon and Coulomb interactions
An analytical method of studying strong long-range electron–phonon and Coulomb interactions in complex lattices is presented. The method is applied to a perovskite layer with anisotropic coupling of holes to the vibrations of apical atoms. Depending on the relative strength of the polaronic shift Ep and the inter-site Coulomb repulsion Vc, the system is either a polaronic Fermi liquid, Vc > 1.2...
